Automate Everything But Love, Lior Weinstein on Hyper-Growth with Heart

Companion to the MaxLife episode with Lior Weinstein

Built on Lior Weinstein's idea that you can systemize almost everything except the parts of your life that need your actual presence. A quiet want, once you find it, has to be protected, not optimized away.

01

The Want You've Muted

Strip away the responsible answer and the one that sounds good out loud. What do you actually want right now that you've been quietly ignoring?

02

Fixer Or Feeler

When something gets tense at work or home, what do you do on reflex: fix it, smooth it over, go quiet, take charge, make yourself useful? And what does that reflex let you skip feeling?

When things get hard, I automatically ___ instead of saying what I want.
03

What You Auto-Ran Away

Look at a normal week. Which parts of your real life have you put on autopilot, handled them so efficiently that you stopped actually showing up for them? Circle every one that fits.

Time with my kids or partnerReal conversations with friendsMy own health and restCelebrating wins (mine or others')Deciding what I actually want nextJust being still with nothing to fix
04

Anticipation Or Anxiety

Pick one thing coming up that you've been dreading. Same facts, two ways to hold it: as a threat, or as something you're looking forward to. Write the looking-forward-to version. What could actually be good in it?

05

Protect The One Thing

Take the want from prompt 01. What's one mechanical task you'll hand off, schedule away, or stop doing this week so that want gets your real time instead, and what's the first thing you'll do toward it?

You can automate the dishes, the inbox, the calendar. You can't automate wanting something and going after it. That part only works if you stay in it. Name the want, then build a fence around it so the busy-ness can't quietly absorb it again.
